Keyboard shortcuts and accessibility

Work without a mouse, turn off single-key shortcuts, and what Nvivio does for screen readers, contrast and reduced motion.

Turn off single-key shortcuts

If you use speech input or a switch, or tend to hit keys by accident, turn off shortcuts that are a single key (WCAG 2.1.4): in the shortcuts window (? or Help) › single-key shortcuts. Esc and Shift ← / → keep working. Your browser remembers the choice.

Fully keyboard

  • In rows of tabs and groups of options, the arrow keys choose; Home and End jump to the ends, and only the chosen option is in the Tab order.
  • Report rows open with Enter.
  • Windows keep the focus inside and give it back when they close.
  • A “Skip to content” link skips the menus.

For screen readers

The main chart and Day and hour have a hidden table with the exact values (per period with the previous one next to it, per weekday with the busiest hour). Every field has a label, and the split of goals on the site cards is read out as well.

Contrast and reduced motion

Text and colours meet the WCAG AA contrast level, in light and dark. If your system asks for reduced motion, there are no animations.
