Filters, periods and links
Filter on anything, pick and step through periods, and share exactly what you see with a link.
Filter on anything
Filter on page, entry or exit page, domain, source, channel, campaign, UTM source, UTM medium, country, region, city, language, device, browser, operating system or event. You pick a value from your own data, with the numbers next to it, and choose “is” or “is not”.
- Choose Filter (shortcut F), or click a row in a panel, a report or the visitor list.
- While a filter is on, a clear bar under the tabs says what you see, for example “You only see visits where: Channel is Search”, and it stays in view while you scroll. The window title adds “(filtered)”. Nobody who clicked a row by accident will think the numbers are broken.
- Remove one filter with × in the bar, or all of them at once.
Click a goal to see only the visits that reached it; see Goals and funnels.
Periods
Today, Yesterday, Last 24 hours, Last 7 days (the default), Last 30 days, This month, Last month, This year, Last 12 months, All time, or a range of your own.
- ‹ and › move a period back or forward by its own length; months move by calendar month.
- Shortcuts: D today, E yesterday, W 7 days, T 30 days, M this month, Y this year, L 12 months, A all time. Shift ← and Shift → step back and forward.
- Days, hours and periods such as “today” follow your site’s time zone (Europe/Brussels unless you change it, see Site settings).
Every view is a link
The tab, the report, the period and the filters are all in the address, so you can share exactly what you see with a colleague or a client. For example:
/app/example.com/reports?r=referrer&period=30d&f=country:BE&f=device:!mobile
The same filters work unchanged in the REST API. After signing in, a shared link takes you to that page.
