Live
Who is on your site right now, the last 30 minutes minute by minute, recent activity and a full-screen view.
Who is here now
The Live tab (/app/<your-domain>/live) shows who is on your site right now: the page each person is on, since when, their city, source and number of pages. It updates every 5 seconds.
- New visitors slide in at the top (“Just arrived” or returning).
- Someone who closes the tab or is quiet for 4 minutes turns grey with a bar that runs out; the row then stays faded for a moment and slides away.
- Click a row to open the visit.
API: GET /v1/sites/{site}/realtime (up to 100 visitors).
Who counts as online
Someone is online when a signal came from them in the last 5 minutes, unless they closed or hid the tab more than 30 seconds ago. The same rule applies on Live, next to the site name (“N on your site now”) and on Your websites, so two places on the same screen never show a different number. The count next to the site name refreshes every 10 seconds and links to Live. API: GET /v1/sites/live.
The last 30 minutes
Five figures: who is here now, and visitors, pageviews, actions and countries in the last 30 minutes. Next to them a chart per minute and a map of where people are now.
Hover a bar (or move to it with the keyboard) to see that minute: visitors, pageviews and actions. Click the bar to see what happened in that minute: time, who, which page or action, each with a link to the visit. While the minute is still running, the list fills up.
API: per_minute in GET /v1/sites/{site}/realtime; one minute in detail with GET /v1/sites/{site}/realtime/minute?at=<ISO time> (up to 50 events).
Recent activity
A log of who arrived and through which source, who moved to another page and who left, including through which link. It fills up while the page is open.
Full screen
Full screen shows Live across the whole screen, for a TV in the office or a trade-fair stand.
