Change your email address

Nvivio has no button to change the address you log in with yet. How to move to a new address yourself, or with help from support, and keep your access.

Your login is your email address, and each address is an account of its own. The dashboard has no button to change it yet, so you move your access to the new address instead. Your sites, numbers and settings belong to the organisation, not to your address, so nothing is lost.

As an owner, with room for one more person

On a plan with room for another person (Free has room for 1, Starter 3, Pro 10, Agency Unlimited):

  1. Open Team in the menu under your email address at the top right.
  2. Choose Invite someone, enter your new address and choose the role Owner, for all sites.
  3. Log out, and log in with the new address: the access is there at once (Invite someone).
  4. In Team, remove your old address with Remove. The organisation always keeps at least one owner, and that is now your new address.
  5. Choose your language again in the top bar, and switch the weekly email off again if you had turned it off: these belong to your login, so the new address starts with its own, with the weekly email on.

Only an owner can make someone owner. As an admin, editor or reader, ask an owner to invite your new address with your role.

On Free, or when it does not work

On Free, the number of people (1) usually leaves no room for a second address, so the invitation is refused. Email support@nvivio.com from your current address and name the new one: Nvivio support can add the new address to your organisation, and remove the old one once you are in (Help from Nvivio support).

The address for invoices

Invoices go to the email address you entered when you paid, which can differ from your login (Paying). There is no field to change it in the dashboard yet: email support@nvivio.com with the new address.
