Site settings

Settings (top right, or shortcut 7) is one page with its own menu. Every change shows a confirmation. New visits follow most changes within a minute; changes to what the script measures within ten minutes.

Each section has its own address: /app/<your-domain>/settings#privacy, #goals, #funnels, #script, #domains, #parts, #exclude, #server-bots, #access, #retention and #danger-zone.

Your script line, instructions per platform, a prompt for your AI assistant and a check that switches to “It works”. See Install the script.

What the script measures

• Clicks on outbound links and downloads (on by default): clicks on links to other sites and on files, with the link text.
• Hash routes as separate pages (off by default): for sites that switch pages with #/page; the route is stored as a path, for example /#/pricing.

The script of your site only contains what you use, so you change this without touching your code; visitors get the new version within ten minutes. API: PATCH /v1/sites/{site} with track_links and hash_routes (true or false).

Domains

The domains your site accepts events from, one per line (up to 50). Subdomains (www, app, blog) count automatically. Events from other domains, including localhost, are refused, so nobody can pollute your numbers by putting your code on another site. API: PATCH /v1/sites/{site} with domains.

Exclude visits

IP addresses or ranges (IPv4 and IPv6) that do not count, for example your office: one per line, up to 100, such as 81.82.83.84 or 2a02:1810::/32. The IP address is compared and then forgotten, never stored. API: excluded_ips in PATCH /v1/sites/{site}.

Bots via your server

Access

Give a client or freelancer access to this site only. See Team and access.

Data retention

Shows how long visits, events and bot details are kept on your plan: Free 30 days, Starter 90, Pro 180, Agency 365. Older data is deleted every night. Data is stored in the EU (Frankfurt).

Time zone

Days, hours, the hourly chart, Day and hour, and periods such as “today” or “this month” follow your site’s time zone, so a day is your day and not a day in UTC. The default is Europe/Brussels. It cannot be changed in the dashboard yet; use the API: PATCH /v1/sites/{site} with {"timezone": "Europe/Amsterdam"} (an IANA name).

Danger zone

For admins and owners only. Delete all visits, events, labels and bots (counts and details) of a site, or delete the site entirely. You confirm by typing the domain. API: DELETE /v1/sites/{site}/data and DELETE /v1/sites/{site}.
