Reports

The full tables per subject, the change against the period before, conversions per source or page, why your numbers changed, CSV and PDF.

Reports per subject

The Reports tab (/app/<your-domain>/reports) has fixed reports in four groups, each starting with the question it answers:

Group Reports
Traffic sources Channels, Sources, Campaigns, UTM source, UTM medium
Pages and actions Entry pages, All pages, Exit pages, Events
Location and language Countries, Regions, Cities, Languages
Device and browser Devices, Browsers, Operating systems

Besides these: Overview and Goals and funnels.

Pages show pageviews, visitors, time on page and scroll depth; the other reports show visitors, visits, pageviews, bounce rate and visit duration.

Each report has its own address: ?r=channel, referrer, utm_campaign, utm_source, utm_medium, entry, path, exit, event, country, region, city, lang, device, browser, os or goals.

Change against the period before

Every row has a column with the change in percent against the previous period, or “new”. You see which source or page grows and which falls back, row by row. API: GET /v1/sites/{site}/breakdown?dimension=…&compare=previous.

Conversions per source, page or country

Pick a goal under Conversions for and every report gets the columns Conversions and CR (conversion rate). For a page, it counts who saw that page and converted in the same visit. This shows up as soon as you have goals. API: breakdown?goal=<name>.

Why did my numbers change?

Reports › Overview compares two periods and says which source, page, country, device or campaign explains the change. Nvivio looks for what changed more than the overall trend: a country with most of your traffic grows along with it and so explains nothing. A difference of a few visitors is not called a trend. Visitors who came through an AI assistant are always mentioned.

Click a sentence to filter on it. A day or less is compared with the same period last week. API: GET /v1/sites/{site}/explain?compare=previous or compare=week (for periods up to 7 days).

Search, sort and CSV

Search the values, sort on any column and export to CSV, up to 500 rows. The file uses semicolons and a byte order mark, so Excel in Belgium and the Netherlands opens it correctly. Available above every report table and in the full table behind Show more on the Overview.

Print / PDF gives a print version without menus and buttons, with the site name, domain and period at the top, always in the light theme. Choose “Save as PDF” in your browser’s print window for a PDF.
